We should get rid of combi-boilers
SIR - I wish Phillipa Smith every success with her ecological invention for diverting water that is normally wasted by combi-boilers when you are waiting for warm, and then for hot water, to flow.
I have for some years via a water meter had to use a Worcester 240 combi-boiler, which wastes gallons per day.
When I have mentioned this to a visiting Corgi registered plumber I was told that this is what you get with combi-boilers. He experiences the same at his own home.
Daily, children are dying because clean water is such a precious commodity in many countries. It is shameful that combi-boilers are still being installed.
