Vaillant boiler creates efficient home heating for concerned mum

Investing in a Vaillant ecoTEC boiler led one concerned mum to boost her home heat and energy efficiency, it has emerged.

As Chiswick resident Kimberley White pointed out, another advantage of the new boiler has been significant savings on pricey fuel bills.

She turned to Vaillant after her family's old boiler broke down, forcing them to visit neighbours when they were in need of a hot shower.

"The change has been remarkable," she told the Telegraph.

"Staying at home with the new baby means I need to have the heating on all the time at the moment, but despite this our bills have already fallen by ten per cent," she continued.

The newspaper notes that older heating systems waste millions of pounds every year as heat escapes via flues and outdated or absent thermostats lead to inefficient overheating.

It cites an estimation by the Energy Saving Trust that switching to a modern condensing boiler could prevent the release of 2.8 million tonnes of carbon each year - as well as saving the average household between £110 and £190 on heating bills.

Other efficient boiler models recommended by heating experts include the Glow Worm Ultracom, the Potterton Promax and Baxi's Solo 15 HE device.
