Three overcome by appliance fumes
Two women and a teenage girl have been taken to hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning after being overcome by fumes from a faulty gas appliance.
Fire crews were called to Spring Garden Close in the Hendon area of Sunderland on Saturday night.
They then administered oxygen until the arrival of paramedics.
The three, aged 41, 36 and 15, were taken to Sunderland Royal Infirmary. Their condition is not thought to be life threatening.
Fire officers made the property safe.
