Plumbers to the heating rescue with Ferroli boiler
A new Ferroli boiler has warmed the lives of a Huddersfield family after a frosty winter period, it has been claimed.
Following the failure of a local handyman to fix their old heating system, Nina Johnson and Steve Bostock were "saved" by Mirfield-based AJ Plumbers, reports The Huddersfield Examiner.
A representative for the firm told the paper that he was "gutted" when heard about the family's plight, and felt obliged to help.
He got in touch with popular manufacturer Ferroli, which in turn donated a free boiler for the couple and their two children.
"It's fantastic - it's nice and warm and lovely to get up in the morning and not have to hurry up and get dressed," Nina remarked to the newspaper.
"AJ Plumbers were absolutely lovely and the nicest people I've met - they even gave us a better boiler," she added of the Ferroli installers.
In a similar occurrence last year, Bridport resident Caroline Beddows was rescued by a self-employed plumber who gave her a new Valiant boiler after her old model broke down and she could not afford to get it fixed.
