Marley recognised for versatility in roofing solutions

Marleys waterproofing solutions for buildings have been recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony.

At the Flat Roofing Alliance's annual bash, the firm scooped the Special Commendation Category for its million-pound work on the nation's courthouses.

Buildingtalk reports that as noise and disruption could not be permitted during the re-roofing of courthouses in areas including St Albans, Bedford, Oxford, Reading and Epping, contractors opted for "bespoke solutions" for each establishment.

Marley Waterproofing's cold-applied high performance felts were just one of the products chosen to complete the projects successfully, with the firm's marketing manager admitting that the recognition was a coup for the company.

"Ensuring our products are used on high-quality projects is at the heart of our business and we strive to deliver products and systems for a rapidly changing market place," Beth Barber told the publication, pointing out that such products' "versatility and compatibility" are ideal for projects where disruption and distraction need to be kept to a minimum.

Earlier this year, Marley showcased its modular stormwater storage cell at the London EcoBuild exhibition.

Replicating natural drainage patterns, the Waterloc is said by the company to be a "flexible and cost-effective answer" to the collection, storage and recycling of storm and rainwater.
