Latest Grundfos pump saves energy and brings down bills
Leading pump manufacturer Grundfos has offered some tips for homeowners looking to boost their energy-saving efforts.
As part of its effort to bring down the UK's collective carbon footprint, Grundfos has released the Alpha2, a circulator pump designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions.
Representatives for the firm revealed that by using such appliances in the home, individuals could save energy equivalent to that of five nuclear power plants.
"Nowadays, most people want to reduce their bills and become more eco-friendly," explained Calvin Pope from Grundfos.
He went on to underline the significance of government Home Information Packs, which have highlighted the importance of having A-rated circulator pumps.
Said to be capable of reducing the average house's total power consumption by up to ten per cent, the Alpha2 circulates water from a boiler using as little as five watts.
Home Information Packs, which all homes in England and Wales with three or more bedrooms now need, require an Energy Performance Certificate to inform homeowners of a building's efficiency on a scale of A to G
