Take Alex Whiteside, a former Scottish Gas and National Engineer of the Year. Alex works throughout Dumfries and Galloway and lives on the site of the old gas works which his father ran, still in the house where he grew up.
Alex is also a qualified SFA Coach and a driving force in the Galloway Thistle Youth Team.
He is a huge supporter of Kits for Kids. Having raised thousands of pounds for his own team over the years, he knows that without initiatives like Kits for Kids and the support of Scottish Gas, many clubs are unable to afford new and replacement kits.
