Heating awards to be sponsored by distinguished industry names
Baxi, Potterton, Vaillant and Vokera are among the popular boiler manufacturers lined up to sponsor this year's building Oscars.
Taking place in London on May 1st, the H&V News Awards will recognise innovators in the field of home heating and sustainability.
Adam Northcroft, associate publisher for Heating and Ventilating News, pointed out the awards have continued to grow in popularity since their inception.
"Judging, as ever, was very difficult with entries from some of the most distinguished names in our industry," he remarked, referring to leading brands such as Sentinel, Worcester Bosch and Dimplex.
He continued: "The calibre of the judges was outstanding, with leading figures drawn from every area of the building services industry, so providing a huge amount of technical and practical knowledge to ensure only the very best entries went ahead as finalists."
At last year's ceremony, Glow-worm was recognised for its Flexicom range of condensing gas-fired wall-hung boilers, with the devices' direct rear flue arrangement praised for enabling boilers to be installed in tight and "relatively inaccessible" spaces.
Meanwhile, Vaillant's Total Solar System Solution received the top prize in the renewable category, as it was said to provide a package system "that could be easily understood" by professionals working with existing domestic heating technology.
