Details of plumbing and heating weekend released
The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC)will hold its plumbing and heating weekend on June 13-14th 2008.
It will take place at the Queen's Hotel in Leeds and has a number of exhibitions and seminars, with a keynote speech by Les Philpott, director of utilities interventions at the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Mr Philpott undertook the HSE's Gas Review that set out recommendations for domestic gas safety and is of particular relevance to gas installers.
"The address from Les Philpott, therefore, is likely to attract great interest from the industry and from individual plumbers, each of whom will be affected by what happens and will be keen to know exactly what it means for them," claimed a statement from the APHC.
It continued: "This will be an unprecedented opportunity to hear from, and speak to, the man at the centre of the whole process."
The APHC will also hold a dinner on June 14th 2008, with John Reid MP as a guest speaker.
This event follows the heating and plumbing event held in March, which saw the some of the plumbing industry's biggest hitters - including Worcester Bosch - exhibit new products.
