Danfoss radiator thermostat provides intelligent heat
Danfoss has designed a new radiator thermostat intended to save energy costs and heat homes intelligently.
According to the firm, the wireless RA PLUS-w device enables homeowners to remotely control temperatures via a computer, mobile phone or even over the internet.
"The room temperature can be controlled during the day, lowering the temperature when the room is not used - this combines comfort and energy-saving in your home," confirmed a Danfoss representative.
He went on to point out that rapidly increasing fuel prices have stimulated a growing number of people to seek out energy-saving measures, particularly if their building is an older one.
Danfoss's new radiator thermostat allows room temperatures to be reduced by three degrees at fixed intervals during the day, maximising efficiency and helping to bring down utility bills.
The firm's spokesperson noted that this will be useful for individuals whose schedules change from day to day, or families on holiday who want to come home to a warm house.
Also featuring a mechanical 'freeze-protection' function, the RA PLUS-w can be mounted with both old and new radiator heating valves.
