Coram unveils special-edition shower pod for your bathroom

Coram has showcased a Union Jack version of its popular shower pod bathroom products.

According to representatives for the firm, the design unveiled at this month's KBB (kitchen, bedroom and bathroom) show in Birmingham is intended to underline how the shower products have been specifically developed to meet the needs of the UK market.

Peter Dimeloe, managing director of Coram Shower Pods, explained to Buildingtalk that the country's construction sector is under pressure to "adhere to strict timescales and complete projects more efficiently", leading his firm to create a product that can be installed quickly and simply at any time.

"Each Coram shower pod design is manufactured in sections of glass reinforced polymer (GRP), which can be easily manoeuvred up stairwells and through doors, and simply slotted together to create a robust showering space," he continued.

Mr Dimeloe also pointed out that as the pod "negates the need for sealant or tiling", each design can be fitted by one tradesperson in around an hour.

Coram shower pods are further noted for their 'Waterguard' feature which ensures leak-free operation - an important consideration in a country where bathroom floors are often constructed using timber and covered with lino or carpet.

At last year's Bathroom and Kitchen Expo, Coram revealed a "shocking pink" Quadrant pod, another one-off design created especially for the occasion.
