Company cooking on gas after Corgi award win
A COMPANY with a contract with a council has won an award.
The Dodd Group in Wrexham has won the Corgi installer of the Year for Wales accolade.
Corgi is the governing body that monitors gas installers.
The award was for Corgi installer of the year for Wales, and the branch, based in Wrexham, employs 16 The company has the contract to service, maintain and install gas central heating for half of Wrexham Council properties.
Dodd Group is a family run company based at Telford, but have regional branches nationwide, Wrexham being the only one in Wales at present, serving Wrexham County Borough Council.
Wrexham Contract Supervisor, Terry Beattie, said: "We were proud as punch to be nominated for an award by Corgi, but when we won it we were ecstatic.
"We have had a few awards here at Wrexham, but this is the biggest, its nice to be recognised for our hard work and gas safety commitment. Last year and this year our office administrator received Llysfasi student of the year award and one of our apprentices was regional competitor for plumber of the year."
They were presented with with their certificates from Corgi on Thursday.
