Belfast shops kept toasty with Dimplex air insulation curtains

Visitors to a designer shopping centre in Belfast will be kept cosy after managers chose Dimplex air curtains to keep out the cold.

Said to provide an "invisible barrier of air" to keep warm or cold air inside when doors are frequently opened, the CAB curtains can be mounted above the doors of an establishment like The Outlet.

Euan Forbes, operations manager at the complex, explained to PlumbingPark that he wanted to provide an "enjoyable, high-quality shopping experience" - making a comfortable environment key.

"The Dimplex equipment does this very effectively by keeping treated air inside even when doors are open, helping to keep the units' energy usage to a minimum," he added.

An optional energy-saving thermostatic control on the Dimplex devices ensures that visitors and staff feel comfortable while inside.

On some models, the control system can be set to full or half-heat or a fan-only setting to keep chilled air inside during warmer periods.

It was also revealed this week that Dimplex's SP9 Optiflame fires are being used to heat Heathrow airport's new terminal five premium executive lounges.
