A better future for CORGI registered businesses
CORGI registered businesses can now look forward to a significant reduction in the cost of CORGI registration for a new operative replacing someone who has left the business during the year.
In the past, the business would have had to pay the full £53 (excluding VAT) for the new operative, but now they can be registered for half that price – just £25 (excluding VAT).
“Why should businesses be penalised if an operative chooses to leave?” said CORGI CEO Mike Thompson.
“This new system is a much fairer way of doing business and a better deal for our registered businesses”.
Businesses should note however, that if they exceed the number of operatives listed at renewals during the year, any additional operatives added to their registration will be charged at the normal £55 (excluding VAT).
Membership Manager Sarah Hill said:
“We are pleased to introduce this positive change for our customers. Although over 70% of CORGI members are sole traders, we recognise that those with additional operatives routinely change them during the registration year. With this new change in place, employing new gas-competent engineers is now a far less expensive task.”
